T-Level Health Science Supporting Adult Nursing Student Reflective Journal but can be adapted (Word document) for any number of courses. The template for a weekly reflecting using Gibbs Reflective Cycle for students such as attendance, uniform (if applicable), punctuality and prepared to learn, homework and independent student and then progress that week in general. The template for set task reflection can be used for exam/test, role play activity, presentation or group task etc A presentation explains Gibbs Reflective Cycle and how to use the journal so getting in the habit from week 1 is advisable. The Reflective Journal can be ring bound to be a formal document and (in theory) raise their attitude towards improving, progression and professional behaviours. This will map progress for tracking purpose and can be used in the classroom or on placement. In the ESP Task 4 is reflection on Tasks 1-3 and in the 2nd year OSA Task 4 requires students to refer to their reflective portfolio. Correct skills for reflection must be developed and become habit. This covers what is needed for the life stage Later Adulthood (65+ years) and mock PSA Task 1 If you are following my SoW 2043-2025 this is Week 7, there is less in the content delivery so this week is a Mock PSA Task 1 with guidance. There are still homework for both Level 1 and Level 2 but you may want to set part of the Mock PSA Task 1 as homework instead All the spec content for Later Adulthood is included in one presentation with 46 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. The content covered is:- Later adulthood (65+ years): o physical: ageing process continues, decline in strength and fitness, loss of mobility, loss of muscle tone and skin elasticity o intellectual: may experience decline in cognitive ability such as loss of memory/recall o emotional: may start to become more dependent on others, emotional wellbeing is based on attachment, security and contentment o social: may experience bereavement and reduction of social circle. There are activities and worksheets to work on independently and homework for both Level 1 and Level 2. All the spec content for Middle Adulthood is included in one presentation with 40 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. These cover the expected key characteristics in each of the PIES classifications. There are 10 activities for students to practice planning for the PSA in a visual steps format and then a written piece of work that is A4 but can be enlarged to A3.
